Fort Wayne back pain patients’ roads to recovery depend on pain reducing treatment, self-care, and positive mindset.

YOUR INFLUENCE ON BACK PAIN RELIEF IS STRONG

An upbeat mindset, good self-care, and pain-reducing treatment is a beneficial recipe for spine pain relief. Chiropractic mingles them all! A study that observed 740 chronic low back pain patients for a year recorded that those who maintained their pain relief and reported an improved quality of life were also highly self-assured that they could still perform activities despite their pain. Those who experienced widespread pain and imagined their pain as horrible and from which they would not get over reduced their recovery outcome. Understanding these issues, researchers and your Fort Wayne chiropractor get that realistic expectations must be discussed and appreciated for optimal, satisfactory clinical outcomes. (1) (For example, 50% relief is good!) Complicating factors like difficult sleep, fatigue, pain, anxiety, depression may come into play for back pain and neck pain sufferers and must be managed. We listen thoroughly to and have discussions with our chiropractic patients to handle issues as we advance toward pain relief and a better quality of life. We follow and share the 50% Rule of the Cox® Technic System of Spinal Pain Management that establishes reasonable expectations for chiropractic pain relief: 50% relief within a month or so of care without any signs of progressive neurological deficits or other red flags is constructive improvement. Additional good news comes from a scoping review of papers about spine-pain related factors that noted how many issues are adjustable: smoking, overweight/obesity, negative expectations of recovery, work environment, nutrition, etc. (2) That is where we act together to maintain your positivity and confidence and form a robust Fort Wayne chiropractic treatment plan for your pain relief!

Aaron Chiropractic Clinic recognizes inflammation’s role in pain and shares how it may be a link between otitis media ear infection and increased hip fracture risk. Interesting research!

Fort Wayne CHIROPRACTIC TIP OF THE MONTH:

Look to Inflammation: An Ear Infection/Hearing Loss/Hip Fracture Risk Link

A recent study compared those with chronic otitis media to those without. Researchers questioned if chronic otitis media inflammation affected the body beyond hearing. They found that those with chronic otitis media with a history of hearing loss are more prone to a greater risk of hip fracture. (3) Another study stated that chronic otitis media was found to be significantly linked to a higher risk of developing ‘sudden sensorineural hearing loss’ that comes on rapidly over a 3 day period. This is commonly related to dizziness and ringing in the ears, medicated with antibiotics, and accommodated for with hearing aids or devices for any enduring hearing loss. (4,5) We know inflammation is an enemy when managing Fort Wayne back pain and neck pain, and it is seemingly an enemy of ear pain and increased hip fracture risk, too! Manage hearing issues and inflammation as they develop. We're here to help with chiropractic services! Aaron Chiropractic Clinic and you make a great team.
