Fort Wayne Dizziness and Neck Pain Care at Aaron Chiropractic Clinic

Dizziness is a problem. Alone, dizziness can be frustrating, but it can also alter balance and lead to falls. Dizziness with related cervical spine disc degeneration can be a problem for folks of an older age. Aaron Chiropractic Clinic presents new research about chronic neck pain and its relationship to dizziness as well as the role Fort Wayne chiropractic care plays in neck pain relief and frequently related dizziness.

CERVICAL SPINE DISC DEGENERATION AND DIZZINESS

Patients with chronic neck pain due to cervical degenerative disease often experience dizziness as well as neck pain. Many already-published studies, both clinical and basic science, detail the connection of cervical disc degeneration and dizziness. A new study indicated that cervicogenic general dizziness was diagnosed in 89% of these patients. Inappropriate neck postures over long periods of time may contribute when there is existing degenerative cervical disc disease. Men and women have different prompts for their dizziness. For example, farming, gardening, and weeding may cause general dizziness, particularly in older women. (1) Surgeons reporting on a new surgical approach to relieving chronic neck pain pointed out that current clinical and immunohistochemical studies strongly indicated that chronic neck pain and intractable dizziness arose from degenerated cervical spine discs. The dizziness happened with only cervical disc degeneration alone without cervical radiculopathy or myelopathy. (2) Such degenerative disc disease in the neck also has been found to be accompanied by inflammation, particularly inflammatory cytokines that trigger mechanoreceptors like the Ruffini corpuscles in degenerated discs leading to dizziness. The good news: a majority of patients with cervical disc disease and associated dizziness report that conservative treatment is effective for them. (3) Aaron Chiropractic Clinic is the clinic for conservative chiropractic care of Fort Wayne neck pain and degenerated cervical discs.

CHIROPRACTIC CONSERVATIVE CARE FOR DIZZINESS

An Australian study of chiropractic care of neck pain patients who also had dizziness found that chiropractic is frequently utilized by these patients to manage their neck pain. One in five people over age 70 years suffered with neck pain. 57.3% of chiropractors said that the neck pain and associated dizziness was moderately responsive to their chiropractic conservative care. (4) Aaron Chiropractic Clinic uses the Cox® Technic System of Spinal Pain Management in treating cervical disc degeneration and its related Fort Wayne neck pain.
